These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Consilience research preview at app.theconsilience.io (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Consilience is an interdisciplinary research instrument: it lets you browse a curated corpus, read sources and suggested connections, and generate exploratory text across traditions. It is provided as an early, evolving beta for evaluation and feedback.
Everything the Service generates is produced by AI and is exploratory and ungraded. Connections it surfaces between sources are suggested by similarity, not confirmed correspondences. A graded, verified engine is still in development and is not part of this preview. You are responsible for independently verifying anything you rely on.
The Service is an intellectual research tool, not a source of personal, spiritual, medical, psychological, legal, or financial guidance. If you are in distress or crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a trusted person. Do not use the Service as a substitute for professional judgment.
During the beta, access may require an invite code and is offered at our discretion. You must provide a valid email address and are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or revoke access at any time.
The seeded corpus consists of publicly available or licensed material presented as excerpts with citation. Source materials remain the property of their respective rights holders. You retain rights to text you author; you are responsible for how you use generated output, including checking it before relying on or republishing it.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Beta features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Consilience and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on generated output.
We may update these Terms as the preview evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
